Our Story

The Honey Vines are an acoustic duo weaving rich harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and a soulful blend of original songs and uniquely reimagined covers. Based out of Evansville Indiana, Andrea Wirth and Melanie Bozsa are two singer-songwriters whose guitars and voices blend seamlessly to create a sound that’s both grounded and uplifting. Their live performances offer a warm and down to earth musical experience—featuring acoustic and electric guitar, harmonica, and percussion.

Wirth and Bozsa began playing music together in 2011. In their beginning, the duo made themselves comfortable on regional stages in the midwest. After solidifying their sound as The Honey Vines, the pair began performing festival and venue stages such as:

FERDINAND FOLK FESTIVAL / FERDINAND IN

LINCOLN AMPHITHEATRE / LINCOLN CITY IN *Supporting The Lone Bellow

NATIONWIDE JETSTREAM MUSIC FESTIVAL / AUSTIN TX

ASTRA THEATRE / JASPER IN *Supporting Pokey Lafarge

SARASOTA PRIDE FESTIVAL / SARASOTA FL

PARKS FESTIVAL / EVANSVILLE IN

The Honey Vines were awarded “Evansville’s Best Band 2022 and 2021” by Evansville Living Magazine and perform an average of 150 shows a year regionally and otherwise.

Andrea and Melanie share a deep love of teaching music as well, carrying that passion into everything they do, both on and off the stage. They currently teach guitar, piano, and songwriting techniques at Evansville Music Academy, and before that spent eight years owning and operating their own private music studio, Honey Vinyl Music Studio in downtown Newburgh. Melanie’s path in education also included teaching within the Evansville-Vanderburgh and Warrick County school systems. Together the two share a warm, inclusive approach that honors music as both an art form and a way to bring people together.

“If there’s one band that epitomizes the organic process of music-making, it’s The Honey Vines.”
